Senior Manager

Departing from

One coaching relationship was established with a senior member of staff who had, in effect, been demoted as a result of a company reorganisation, and was feeling particularly vulnerable about the situation he found himself in.

Destination

To address his lack of self belief

We worked through his self limiting beliefs, which had led him to feel unnecessarily bruised by constructive criticism, to use self-deprecating sense of humour, at times inappropriately, and to constantly worry that he was ‘going to be found out’. As a result of the coaching, he identified the root of the problem and gained significantly in self belief. He is now able to command respect and trust from his peers and his manager, and has the confidence to challenge the most senior executives, to ensure that the right decisions are made for the organisation.

To achieve promotion back to the level he had been working at previously.

As a result of his changed mindset, the client actively pursued – and achieved - a promotion into his ‘dream job’. He is now working extremely effectively back at the level he was previously, with increased responsibility, both for staff and in managing the interface with a number of very important external stakeholders.

Guests’ comments

  • “Coaching has helped me to work through some of my self limiting beliefs and I am now a much more effective person both in work and in my home life. It has been brilliant and moved me from a state of self doubt and decline, to having faith in myself.”
